Scrapbooks pertaining to World War I [manuscript], 1917-1919.

The scrapbooks were compiled by Kyle as a World War I press package and contain photographs, maps, military newspapers, itineraries of a press tour of battlefields, operational notes, and memoranda. The first volume, titled "Activities of the Services of Supply American Expeditionary Forces 1917-1919" pertains to the activities of the Quartermaster Corps particularly during the embarkation from Bordeaux, 1919. The second volume, titled "General Headquarters and Operations of the American Expeditionary Force 1917-1919" has information concerning operations, intelligence, training and the General Staff as well as the battles of the St. Mihiel Salient and the Meuse-Argonne Campaign, and the march to the Rhine. Loose material includes a description of the Meuse-Argonne battle by Arthur E. Hartzell and a patriotic pin.
